Prof Federica di Palma â€‹

Director of Science at the Earlham Institute and director of the BRIDGE Colombia network of researchers across the UK and Colombia.

​

Prof Federica di Palma leads the Institute BBSRC core strategic programme in food security. She also leads a research group focused on understanding the evolution of traits with a particular focus on developing computational approaches to assess how genotypic divergence leads to regulatory changes underlying phenotypic divergence.


She has been awarded several GCRF and Newton funds for characterising genomic diversity of economically important species and has initiated and fostered training towards a bio-diversity based economy in developing countries.


She holds a professorship at the University of East Anglia and she is a visiting scientist at the Broad Institute in Cambridge Ma (US), where she was the assistant director of the Vertebrate Genome Biology program before arriving at Earlham Institute.
